Expert in Smart Agents
Inventor of a new type of intelligent system that has remarkably short response times.
The creation, that required six and a half years of work, is very useful for diagnostic problems. It consists of breaking up the knowledge base, which is found in all expert systems, into a multitude of small autonomous parts (Smart Agents). "Each Smart Agent is responsible for itself, he emphasizes. Therefore you arrive at a distributed artificial intelligence." Objective: to considerably lower the response time of the system. Instead of having the consultation phase consume most of the execution time, that often takes longer than a minute, his system can function in real time. Already tested and validated in different areas : missile launching, detection of breakdowns in nuclear plants etc.
This expert system runs on one of the most widespread microcomputers: the PC/AT of IBM.
